Find volunteers to support disaster recover
EV CREW helps local councils and community organisations connect with volunteers to assist with disaster recovery.
If your organisation needs extra help after a disaster, you can use EV CREW to promote suitable volunteer roles and connect with registered volunteers ready to support recovery efforts.
Your organisation manages the activity on the ground, and Volunteering Queensland helps connect you with volunteers.
EV CREW volunteers can support a range of general recovery activities, including:
Cutting-Edge Keynotes
Networking Hacking
Hands-On Workshops
Hackathons
Startup Showcase
helping remove debris, clear outdoor areas and support local recovery efforts.
sorting donated clothing, household goods and essential items.
supporting the delivery of donated goods and essential items.
helping at information desks, answering phones, and community support services.
helping prepare, pack or distribute food where needed.
aiding organisations caring for animals affected by disasters.
EV CREW volunteers are not available for specialist work, such as operating heavy machinery, providing counselling or carrying out tasks that require professional qualifications. Volunteers who are registered with EV CREW and rostered during a formal disaster activation are covered for personal injury under Queensland Government WorkCover
